Harriet is a wonderful mother loved by many. An amazing woman who is loyal and modest. Her perseverance is a legacy that she has passed down to her children. She is talented at art, singing and is super smart. But most of all, she is kind and a gift to all who know her. Like most mothers, she is my first teacher. 

Harriet Tubman was an American abolitionist and political activist. Born into slavery, Tubman escaped and subsequently made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people, including family and friends, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.
