Shipping policy

SHIPPING POLICY

Thank you for investing in our apparel line. Shipping cycles across all industries have changed due to the pandemic, so please understand that potential delays can occur due to a high volume of orders, peak seasons or postal service problems that are outside of our control.  

ORDER PROCESSING

Please note our order processing times are separate from the shipping times that are listed at checkout. 

All orders are processed within 3 to 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. 

DOMESTIC SHIPPING RATES AND ESTIMATES

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. All orders will ship with our fixed rates and Standard shipping.

Domestic shipping

  • Flat Rate (Standard) (3-4 business days after fulfillment)
  • Express (1-3 business days after fulfillment)
  • Overnight (1 business day after fulfillment)

International shipping

  • Flat Rate (Standard) (5-20 business days after fulfillment)
  • Standard DDP (3-5 business days after fulfillment) Canada only 
  • Express (1-3 business days after fulfillment)

SHIPPING DURING PEAK TIMES

During peak seasonal months, orders are processed within 9-12 business days on average and ready for shipping.  Year-to-year can be different as we have seen in the past.  However, we use these times of year as our peak times. Keep in mind that shipping times also play a factor in the overall delivery times for orders. 

  • Valentine’s Day – February 14th
  • St Patrick’s Day – March 17th
  • Easter – End of March
  • Mother’s Day – May around the 3rd weekend
  • Father’s Day – June around the 3rd weekend
  • 4th of July – July 4th
  • Back to School -College Sports August thru middle of September
  • Halloween – October 31st
  • Thanksgiving – November 25th
  • Christmas/New Years- December 25th & January 1st

HOLIDAY SHIPPING

It is recommended that orders be placed no later than December 3rd for most product categories shipping in the US if you desire to receive your product by December 25th. 

Orders fulfilled outside the U.S. might take longer to deliver.

Express shipping is available but due to the pandemic, the recommendation for order placement is the same as above.

LOCAL DELIVERY

We currently do not offer local delivery options due to the pandemic.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We offer international shipping to Europe. At this time, we do not ship to:

Peru
Kuwait
Bahrain
Brazil
Russia
Indonesia
Saudi Arabia
India
Bolivia
Egypt
Isle of Man
Sri Lanka
Latvia
Colombia 

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. 

Express shipments to Europe require a contact phone number.

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Whoami Designs/e-STEAM Shop/Brown Girls in Tech are not responsible for these charges if they are applied--- this is your responsibility as a customer.

HOW DO I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 to 72 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you haven’t received your order within 20 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at browngirlsintech@gmail.com with your name and order number.

SHIPPING TO P.O. BOXES

Some carriers have limitations around shipping to P.O. Boxes. We do not recommend using PO Boxes as we can't guarantee the order will be shipped using a courier that can deliver to the PO Box (for example UPS and FedEx do not deliver to PO Boxes). 

If the order is shipped to a PO Box and the courier cannot deliver the order a return to sender (RTS) will be processed depending on what address is on the return label that is the address the order will be returned to.

REFUNDS, RETURNS, AND EXCHANGES 

We accept returns up to 30 days after purchase, if the item is unused and in its original condition and packaging, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return. 

 

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at browngirlsintech@gmail.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Shipping costs are always non-refundable.
